One Last Look Back at 2010

The new year always gives time for reflection.  Simply put, 2010 was quite a year! I think about the things we did, the fun we had, the things I wish, about all we are blessed with, and about the things we survived!  When I say “we”, I mean me and my husband, and our 4 beautiful kids.  Quite frankly, I couldn’t do what I do without them.  I might offer talent, but they add more spice, drive, love, support, and motivation.  In 2010 our studio had many successes.  Our photo of beautiful Savannah Lopez was featured on the cover of St. George Magazine Wedding Edition.  Our work was also featured in the Edge Magazine, in Elan Woman Magazine, on MSNBC.com Dose of Reality, and on the cover of the Yellowbook phone book.  We were also excited for the opportunity to do photography for our friend Eric Dodge for his new CD, “Why Not Today”.  But one of the biggest honors was being featured on the cover of Elan Woman magazine (my talented husband was the photographer)!

Even more amazing are the relationships we have formed with so many wonderful people over the last year.  We had high-profile business clients, beautiful models, starving students, prominent families, beautiful newborn babies, and every variety of people in between.  We have been involved with so many fabulous events from Little League, to Hurley US Open Surfing Championships, to black-tie parties.  With literally 1000′s of people landing in front of our lenses in 2010, we found beauty, personality, spunk, individuality, and inspiration around every corner and in every town we visited.

Here’s a little collage of just a few of the portraits and events we did over the last year.

So what’s to come in 2011?  Well, I don’t know exactly, changes are happening almost too quickly for me to comprehend.  Things are exciting, scary, uncertain, and exhilarating all at the same time.  I do know, that at the end of 2011, I am certain, I will look back for a fleeting moment, learn from my mistakes, thank God for my successes, and then plow head on into 2012.  One thing is for sure, I am glad to call so many of you my friends and look forward to sharing another year with you!
