Candy for the Troops!

As many of you know, my brother is serving in Afghanistan.  Lieutenant Russ Lofthouse has 164 soldiers in his unit and they LOVE candy!  Are you looking for something to do with your HALLOWEEN CANDY?  Now through Friday, November 12, you can drop your candy donations at Hot Shot Images, and we’ll send it to Afghanistan for the troops.  Hot Shot Images, 1141 W. State, #6A, Hurricane, UT.  (435) 635-8300.  We already have donations coming in from customers, friends, and other businesses!  Mrs. Hinton’s second grade class is doing a candy drive and they are going to write letters to the soldiers.  Children’s Dental, owned by Laurie and Jeremy Scholzen, are doing a candy buy-back.  They are also sending candy our way and have even offered to ship some of it at their expense!  Debbie Heisler and Wendy Allan have also pledged candy donations.  The generous spirit people share never ceases to amaze me!  Thanks everyone !!

Model Search results are in!!

Our judges panel has voted, and results are in!  The finalists that will continue in the competition and be a part of the fashion photo shoot with Hot Shot Images are…..in no particular order…..drum roll please……

Congratulations to everyone that competed!  Competition was tight in every category!  Check out their photos, you’ll see what I mean!  Some of the finalists were decided by a very slim margin.  In order to be eligible to continue in the contest, finalists must be available to attend a fashion photo shoot on November 13 at the Villa Gardens in St. George.  We will be contacting the finalists with additional information.  After the fashion photo shoot on November 13, photos will be posted online for public voting and the second round of judging will take place.  And finally, the winner of each category will be announced at a black tie event on January 8th 2011 (more exciting details to come).

There were so many amazing faces in the competition.  None of our contestants will leave the competition empty handed.  If you did not make it through to the final round, watch for an email with your gift certificate for a free mini-session and 8×10 from Hot Shot Images.  That’s a free 30 minute session with a free 8 x 10 ($75.00 Value).  This is a chance to develop your portfolio just for entering.  Congratulations everyone!

Hot Shot is right!!

Well, the registration has ended for the Hot Shot Model Search.  All I can say is we definitely have some real life HOT SHOTS!  I’m glad I’m not the one choosing the finalists!  Our judges’ panel will be voting this week so keep an eye on the website for the announcement of our finalists! 

I have done some super fun shoots in the last two weeks.  But before I post them, I need to buckle down and get some editing done!  One of my favorites was a “BOW”dacious dress up party with two beautiful little divas.  I’ll post pics soon!  Don’t forget our Refer 3=Free promtion!  All you have to do is tell your friends about us.  When they call in, and book their session, you get credit for the referral.  Refer 3 new clients, and get your package free!  It’s that easy!

Model Search registration ends tomorrow!

Registration closes tomorrow for the Hot Shot Model Search!  I am really excited to get going!  We’re seeing some amazing faces in the contest.  I wish we were seeing more in the 27 – 40 year old category!  You HOT MAMMAs out there, listen up….  even if you’re not wanting to launch a new career, this is going to be a fantastic experience!  If you have considered modeling, consider this…..there is more demand in local markets for women in their late 20′s and 30′s than any other demographic!  It’s that great!!  We are going to have a lot of fun with this contest!  Our finalists will participate in the finalist photo shoot at Villa Gardens.  Taylor Andrews Academy, under the direction of the beautiful & talented Jaclyn Lamoreaux, will be doing hair and make-up.  Designer clothing will be provided for the shoot!  After the photo shoot with Hot Shot Images, each finalist will receive two photos for their personal use!  The grand prize packages includes clothing from the classy Bella Donna Boutique, and the extremely talented fashion designer Danny Nappi who was just featured in LA Fashion week!  Nappi Clothing is soon to be featured on a new MTV series.   These clothes are HOT!  Hot Shot Images will provide our winners with yet another photo shoot and a custom-designed website.  And one of my favorite parts, is our winners will have an appearance in the amazing Elan Magazine!  Elan Magazine is amazing!!  One of my customer’s recently described it as “EYE CANDY!”  This is the most prestigious magazine in the Southwest, and our winners will be in it!  So all you hot mamas out there, log on and get registered!  Hurry!  Time is running out!!

Hot Shot Model Search Registration Closing!

I am really excited to be a part of the Hot Shot Model Search!  Registration deadline is October 17th.  That’s 5 DAYS AWAY!!  We are inviting anyone age 8 – 40, male & female, to compete for great prizes.  The prize packages includes a free model shoot and website from Hot Shot Images, free designer clothing from Bella Donna Boutique and Nappi Clothing, and an appearance in Elan Woman Magazine.  Yes, a magazine appearance!!  And this is not just any magazine, but the Southwest’s premier lifestyle magazine!  And if you haven’t heard of Danny Nappi, check him out!  His designs were just featured in LA Fashion week!  He is an amazing designer!  Bella Donna Boutique is St. George’s most exclusive boutique with the hottest fashions and acessories.  Echo Model Management, Utah’s most trusted talent agency, will meet with all of our winners to discuss their potential in the modeling industry.  I know you’re thinking “Wow! What a great prize package!”  It’s true.         

I have people call me an ask if they should do this.   It’s hard for me to answer that question, and thankfully I’m not involved in judging in any way.  When I was talking to a talent agent this week, she said that some of the best models out there are people that never even considered modeling until they were scouted, or pushed into it by family and friends.  So WHO DO YOU KNOW?!  Who do you know that has a great look?  Help us get the word out!  For those of you who have entered, good luck!!  I’m looking forward to seeing our finalist at the FREE fashion shoot on November 13!

I just had to post a big congratulations to Echo Model Management.  Yesterday they had 3 girls signed to Major Model Management (Alex, Erin and Tiffany).  Very Exciting!

Prize Package just got Bigger

Things are heating up with the Hot Shot Model Search.  Our prize package just got bigger today.  I am excited to have so many great vendors involved.  I can’t tell you details yet…. but it’s FUN!!!  So far, the biggest question I get from people, is if this is one of those modeling scams where they try to sell you an $800 portfolio or $2500 of modeling classes.  The answer is NO!  There is a $15 registration fee.  That’s it.  At no point will you be approached about buying services, photos, or be asked for additional money to participate.  Echo Model Management believes in training and investing in their models.  Check out this link with Erin Olson from Echo talking about that!  This is a great way to get your face in front of a legitimate agency, have a great time, and possibly win some great prizes!  More details coming soon…. can’t wait to share them. 

Hot Shot Model Search!

I’m so excited!  Hot Shot Images is joining forces with Echo Model Management for the first ever Hot Shot Model Search.  Echo has models working all over the world, and they are looking for new faces!  They recently signed a girl from a small Utah town named Beth Chase who went right to New York Fashion week.  Read her story!   Echo works hard for their models! 

Ok….so here’s how it works.  There is a $15 processing fee.   There are no additional charges.  You’re not required to buy an expensive portrait package, or pay anything extra if you are a finalist. You upload 3 photos.  Those photos will be used to select the finalists.  All of the finalists will be part of a fashion photo shoot with Hot Shot Images.  These photos will be used for the final round of competition.  The prize packages will include a full-fashion shoot, designer clothing, and an interview with Echo Model Management!  This is a straightforward, legitimate way to get your face in front of a great talent agency!  Click on the flyer below to find out more!

  This gas pump was off the side of the road.  We finished up shooting nearby and decided to steal a few shots in front of it even though we were running out of time before my next appointment.  I’m so glad we did!!
