The new year always gives time for reflection. Simply put, 2010 was quite a year! I think about the things we did, the fun we had, the things I wish, about all we are blessed with, and about the things we survived! When I say “we”, I mean me and my husband, and our 4 beautiful kids. Quite frankly, I couldn’t do what I do without them. I might offer talent, but they add more spice, drive, love, support, and motivation. In 2010 our studio had many successes. Our photo of beautiful Savannah Lopez was featured on the cover of St. George Magazine Wedding Edition. Our work was also featured in the Edge Magazine, in Elan Woman Magazine, on MSNBC.com Dose of Reality, and on the cover of the Yellowbook phone book. We were also excited for the opportunity to do photography for our friend Eric Dodge for his new CD, “Why Not Today”. But one of the biggest honors was being featured on the cover of Elan Woman magazine (my talented husband was the photographer)!

Even more amazing are the relationships we have formed with so many wonderful people over the last year. We had high-profile business clients, beautiful models, starving students, prominent families, beautiful newborn babies, and every variety of people in between. We have been involved with so many fabulous events from Little League, to Hurley US Open Surfing Championships, to black-tie parties. With literally 1000′s of people landing in front of our lenses in 2010, we found beauty, personality, spunk, individuality, and inspiration around every corner and in every town we visited.
Here’s a little collage of just a few of the portraits and events we did over the last year.

So what’s to come in 2011? Well, I don’t know exactly, changes are happening almost too quickly for me to comprehend. Things are exciting, scary, uncertain, and exhilarating all at the same time. I do know, that at the end of 2011, I am certain, I will look back for a fleeting moment, learn from my mistakes, thank God for my successes, and then plow head on into 2012. One thing is for sure, I am glad to call so many of you my friends and look forward to sharing another year with you!

Give it your all boys, this town is already proud!
I am so proud of my beautiful family! We recently did our family portraits and I was so excited to share! My husband and I have four wonderful children between us. We’re a his and mine family, but it works for us!

First, meet our beautiful daughter Cassie. Cassie is absolutely the most amazing, talented 12 year old girl in the world. She is quite the artist and great at sports.

Next is 10 yr old Bryson. He’s the coolest big brother around. There isn’t a sport that he’s not good at. And smart too… he’s a real engineer in the making!

Next is 7 year old #1. Zac is an entertainer in true form! He is always making people laugh with his antics, dancing, and practical jokes. He’s everyone’s best friend and one cool brother!

And this little beauty is 7 year old #2. Just 4 months younger than Zac, Carlie is the absolute opposite of Zac. It makes for a fun dynamic at home! She is sweet, loves to organize, loves to make people smile, and always logical. She is quite the little artist too!

So here we are, the Hot Shot Family…Kirc & Nissa, Cassie, Bryson, Carlie, and Zac. Thank you to all of our wonderful friends, family, and customers for the love and support over the last 3 years. We are truly blessed!
Well, the registration has ended for the Hot Shot Model Search. All I can say is we definitely have some real life HOT SHOTS! I’m glad I’m not the one choosing the finalists! Our judges’ panel will be voting this week so keep an eye on the website for the announcement of our finalists!
I have done some super fun shoots in the last two weeks. But before I post them, I need to buckle down and get some editing done! One of my favorites was a “BOW”dacious dress up party with two beautiful little divas. I’ll post pics soon! Don’t forget our Refer 3=Free promtion! All you have to do is tell your friends about us. When they call in, and book their session, you get credit for the referral. Refer 3 new clients, and get your package free! It’s that easy!
As a photographer, my best advertisement is my photos on my clients’ walls and my biggest compliment is a referral from a client. We have SOOOO many fabulous clients! To reward our loyal clients, we’ve launched a 3=FREE promotion through the end of the year!

Here’s how it works… Tell your friends about us, when they book their appointment and pay their $75 deposit, you get credit for their referral! Refer 3 new clients and get your package free! We’ve literally done 1000′s of sports pictures for kids….if they haven’t been to us for a portrait session, they are fair game! So start referring and make sure they mention your name when they call in!
I have always believed that when we die and go to heaven, we will be renewed to a perfect body in our prime. I asked my husband why they always show pictures of God with white hair like he’s an old man. He explained that it was his countenance that is so bright it makes him glow…. Me, being the photographer I am, said, “Oh, He’s overexposed!” Mystery solved.
